I'm sure I've said it before - this is a perfect series - every book I've read is enjoyable if not mind-bending. This time round it is Reeve and Aus, in their mid twenties, who meet through a dating app for a one night stand. They are coming from different places - Reeve from a broken relationship, parents who are remote, a job in the family business waiting for him; Aus who has never had a relationship, who doesn't know where his career lies in a high achieving family, and a close, happy family. But underneath the attraction, they quickly find they are soulmates, and that is an even more irresistible force. Aus is determined to live his own life, fashioned from his own decisions. But despite the fact that he is the backstop to everything at Vino & Veritas, he sees himself as unsuccessful on the career front. He imagines that he's not capable of a relationship. But Reeve has a huge positive influence on him, and he's ready to go with all he is learning. Not Reeve. He puts duty over everything else that is staring him in the face. I love the World of True North that Sarina Bowen has created so I was beyond thrilled to find out that other authors would be writing books set in this world. Regina Kyle is an author I have read before and while this book was not my favorite I would like to try more of her books. The Vino & Veritas series has been a fun read from to start to these final few books. I liked this book but I really do not enjoy the fake relationship trope so that sort of ruined the book for me. I liked the writing style and Reeve and Oz were great characters it just is not the sort of story that I particularly enjoy. I am so sad that this batch of Vino and Veritas titles are the final ones in the series because I have enjoyed them so much. I am very glad to have read them as it introduced me to a whole new set of authors I can add to my TBR pile. I am sure there will be more books set in the World of True North and I cannot wait to read them. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

One night with Reeve Hale wasn't enough. I knew it when I kissed him, I knew it when I slept with him, and I was certain of it when I walked out of his motel room the very next day. So when the shy, gorgeous man is introduced as our newest employee at Vino and Veritas, I can't help but conjure up all the ridiculous ways to convince him to repeat that unforgettable night. Like asking him to be my fake boyfriend at my sister's upcoming wedding. Only, I didn't expect him to say yes. Playing pretend shouldn't feel this real. Especially when Reeve is planning on leaving Vermont after the summer. We agreed to one night. We negotiated a fake relationship. But I'm the one who broke our terms. I wasn't supposed to fall in love and he was never supposed to be so unforgettable. Contains mature themes. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
