Lawyer Lola Jennings has come to Calamity, Montana to support her best friend, Joann, as she and her husband, Riley, divorce. Lola knows that Joann and Riley still love each other, but stubbornness has set in and Lola and they seem determined to move forward with the divorce. Lola will do all she can to support her friend.

She accompanies Joann to a local festival and there she meets handsome, sexy Aiden Archer who manages to turn her world upside down. But Lola’s in for an unexpected surprise, and it won’t be the good kind.

How will things end for the obviously-attracted-to-each-other pair? And what will happen with Joann and Riley? Will they divorce? Or can their love win the day?

Several unexpected twists in the telling of the tale keep this delightful, repartee-filled romantic comedy entertaining and interesting. The novella, part of the Calamity Montana series, is both clever and charming and, although readers are likely to figure out the ending long before turning the final page, the fun is in discovering how everyone gets there.
