Newest installment in the Chorus of Dragons series. It picks up with the aftermath of Kihrin's sacrifice.

Instead of having alternating narrators telling their stories in flashbacks, we follow many characters as they move to converge at the same place and time. Due to plot shenanigans, people share their memories of past events (and past lives). Some mysteries are answered, others become more murky. I end up re-reading parts (or huge sections) of the earlier books as names and events are referenced and re-contextualized.

I love this series. It makes me want to create a murder board to follow all of the clues and plots and characters. The skill in plotting is amazing. I think there is only book left, which saddens me.

Although I have read these hugs books as e-ARCs, I will purchase the entire series in hardcover once it is completed.

3.5 (rounded up). I love the characters but the story feels very disjointed and like a big set up for the next book. Excited to see where everyone ends up and I enjoyed the new characters/retcons. ( )
