The Storms of Windhaven
A flyer in a colony planet, where only connection between habitable islands are gliders using former solar sail material as wings (supply very limited), tries to break old hereditary system of who gets the old wing, trying instate a new system, based on skill. Very good, well told tale. ****+
Nascent
Genetically enhanced dog is trying to pass test which is purposefully made practically impassable. Also good story, not entirely logical at all places. Some things about (future) society are so seventies. ****-
Country of the Mind
Slipping in and out of alternative realities so fast that the point (if there is such) is lost. Too much of badly written almost surrealism may a bad thing - I wasn't really able to follow plot if any. **-
A Scraping at the Bones
Detective murder story, quite simple one. Most protagonists are quite irritating. ***
Two Heads Are Better Than One
Callahans place story, mind reading as a plot point, as usually puns are the main subject. Normal standard level for Callahan's place story. ***1/2 ( )
