Layla and Miller have a love/hate relationship where they love to rile each other up. Layla is a sports announcer for a radio show and this chick knows her stuff. She isn’t only gorgeous and independent, but she is also smart and loving. She has seen the trail of broken hearts Miller has left behind and she is not impressed with him at all. When they first met, she thought she could like him because he was sincere and sweet to her but then that changed when she found him with his tongue down another girl’s throat. Layla finds Miller’s antics sickening and she tries to tell herself that he is a player she should not have interest in, but deep down she knows it’s not true. Miller is a notorious player on the ice and off it with the ladies, yet there has always been a place in his heart for Layla. He wants her but he doesn’t realize his actions with the ladies is not helping at all. We learn that deep-down Miller is a genuinely nice guy that wants what his buddies have, a person to love and start a family with and he believes that person could be Layla. If he could just get her to come around and see that he is loyal and lovable maybe they could have a chance. Can they fight their differences and realize they belong together? Can Layla sit down for a second and learn that there is more than meets the eye to Miller? Or will they fall apart before they even begin? I loved Miller he was just such a great guy and so lovable, at times I would find myself getting angry at Layla because she was very judgmental (which was understandable by Miller’s actions) but I felt she should have tried to be a little more understanding of him and not so harsh at times. Miller was an amazing character and I loved him instantly because he was funny, handsome, and loyal I felt like he deserved better than Layla’s judgment especially when her secret comes to life, but overall this was a fantastic read and Nana was the best!! Can’t wait for more. ( )
