One thing I appreciate is their no BS approach to explaining the process - you will hear a lot of historical research and similar when it comes to the Norse side of the game. British Isles part of the game only uses terms relating to mood, atmosphere, painting style and such. Basically their side of the story is made up and meant as a backdrop...aim is to be believable enough, not historical. I heavily dislike the game for this dichotomy of approaches, but I like this artbook is rather clear they just went full fantasy.
The one star removed is only for the fact it doesn't REALLY feel deluxe. It is a good artbook, but some foil on cover doesn't really make it "deluxe". Print is nice though...really wish the pictures inside weren't as crowded as they made them in some parts. ( )
