Nostradamus was a infamous "prophet" so to speak who read fortunes and astrological findings for many famous people, including King Henry II's family. He also published several almanacs of his predictions, some of which people believe have come true hundreds of years later.

I really liked how the book threw in facts amongst the biographical information because it puts things into perspective for the reader. I also liked that it includes vocabulary definitions and related internet sites in the back, that's always very helpful!

I think it would be fun to have the students look up their astrological sign and bring in a horoscope to share with the class. This would be a creative book to read during our study of the planets and star constellations. ( )
