Another read that had me so emotionally invested, hanging on the edge with a hint of mystery. This author knows how to write characters that stick with you way after you have finished their stories and I love that I can think back and smile at the way things started and finished for each of them. I fell in love with Ford in Austin’s book and just knew behind his laid back attitude he had a story that we just needed to hear. Deep down Ford is still struggling with tragedy from his past and the guilt eats him alive. He just doesn’t know how to cope until he is forced to come face to face with Bells again. Bells is a strong willed, supportive, loving person but she still holds some anger and guilt towards Ford until she realizes she’s just happy to have him in her life again. Ford, even though he struggles, he is a fierce protector, lover, and friend and together can they help each other cope and move forward in life or will their pasts haunt their every step? This is another beautiful book by this author that sucks you into to the lives of the characters and refuses to let you go. ( )

I picked up the audibook for this read and really enioyed this experiecne. This is def a small town ormance but does have elements of being a taboo romance because she does falll for her dead sisters BF and that caued alot of drama for sure. I also liked the small town elemetns and loved meeting the other characters that will feature into future books. I like the small town working of the buisness. I will be honest this lead male is not my favoite alpha male but i did enoy the read!! ( )

Isabelle played the third wheel to her sister, Violet and her boyfriend, Ford, for most of their young lives, but an accident that killed Violet changed everything. Everything in Reckless Memories revolves around the death of Bell's sister and the effect that it has on the people of the small town of Anchor. The emotions of each character are carefully brought to the surface as new challenges, including a stalker, are woven into the story, sometimes weighing down the narrative. There is so much anger, resentment, and sadness that it is difficult for the romance, as well as other relationships, to shine through or to make it believable that those issues can be so easily solved. Overall, Reckless Memories is a well written, well developed story that often gets bogged down with heavy emotion. ( )
