Friends Fox and Rabbit are back with new adventures that include going to the ice cream shop, visiting the playground, and taking a trip to a farm.

This is a very cute early reader that consists of a variety of interconnected stories. Technically they could be read as standalones, but they work better as a whole. In fact, they technically pick right back up where the last book ended with the friends wondering how to spend the money they earned from their lemonade stand. It started to feel like readers would be missing things if they hadn't really read the first book.

This book did lean more into imagination and playing in ways that encouraged creative thinking. I really appreciated that, and the illustrations helped to make it clear what was pretend play.

The format is like that of a comic book with illustration panels and dialogue bubbles. Fox and Rabbit join other humorous duos for children in this style, such as Snail and Worm, Fox and Chick, Arlo and Pips, and so on. ( )
