This book is a graphic novel filled with short stories. Every story begins with “It was a dark and silly night”. The stories themselves are scary but the pictures make them silly.

I enjoyed reading this book. I was entertaining.

This book could be used when learning about graphic novels. I would enjoy having my students come up with their own story using the same beginning.

Various artists (such as Lemony Snicket and Neil Gaiman) have contributed to this art book/graphic novel with dark and silly night vignettes. ( )
