This is Wolverine, so, of course, it’s not your average Civil War TPB. Actually, I do believe that he never takes a side in the first Marvel Civil War.

Instead he takes on the mission to go after Nitro. The guy who killed 60 people and helped start this whole story line. Everyone tells him not to (some try and order him not to too). But he still goes after the guy.

And he comes into contact with people from Atlantis too. And has some some tense moments with Iron Man also.

It was a nicely woven TPB, although I’m not a hug fan of Humberto Ramos pencils, and so I didn’t love the art. ( )

Looks like my review got deleted or I forgot to write one. Don't remember much of this one but I don't remember hating it or loving it so it gets 3 stars. ( )

The storyline, about the conspiracy behind the Stamford incident, had potential. But I found the resolution unsatisfactory and incomplete. The Atlanteans were a fun diversion, but ultimately felt unimportant.

I also definitely don't care for the very cartoon-y style of artwork that this had. ( )

After the tragedy at Stamford, Wolverine takes it upon himself to track down Nitro. He finds him, but he soon realizes that there are more people than Nitro to blame for what happened. Along the way, Wolverine runs afoul of Namor and the CEO of a conglomeration.

This trade was rather middle of the road. It's definitely not essential reading when it comes to the Civil War event. ( )

The story was pretty good otherwise, but this book gets 2.5 stars because of the ridiculousness of Wolverine's healing factor in this arc. I mean, total incineration? Really? I liked it better back in Days of Future Past.

But the intrigue with Namor was entertaining, at least. ( )
