( ) I usually try to avoid manga adaptations of material I have not read -- a Japanese light novel in this case -- but the stupidly long title and large doggy on the cover finally wore me down after giving this book the pass many, many times at the library. And what a delightful surprise it turned out to be. A Japanese salaryman, Routa Okami, dies from overwork at the office, and his last wish is to be reincarnated into an easy life, like the pampered pooch of a rich person. And out of nowhere a goddess shows up and makes his dream come true! Routa awakens as a puppy in a magical fantasy world, is quickly adopted by a rich girl, and leads a spoiled life which includes a personal chef committed to serving him the most delicious dishes. And while Routa longs to be the ultimate slacker, he finds himself growing to a huge size and hunted by goblins, targeted by a knight for slaying as a monster, recruited by a wolf pack to lead them in the slaying of all humans, and forced to hunt a giant feral pig. When's a dog supposed to find time to eat and nap? And what if all these hijinks makes his owner reconsider him as a pet? Humorous and fun with lots of cute doggy pictures. (And the back-up text story proves this just does not work without the cute doggy pictures. I have no desire to read the original novel.) p.s., It all went over my head, but apparently there are a lot of references to Japanese anime, especially Gundam. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

"I just want an easy life, even as some rich person's dog..." As corporate slave Routa Okami keels over in the middle of his busy office, he imagines how nice it would have been to live as the pet of some rich family instead of working himself to death. But when a goddess actually grants that wish and brings him back to life as a pampered pooch, Routa realizes he may have gotten more than he bargained for...
