I LOVED this book! Maybe because I am a dog lover? However, this book is very informational and would be a great book to use for research in the classroom. The book explains to you where dogs came from and what different breeds are used for. For instance, I learned that Basset Hounds (which are what my dogs are) originated in England and were bred for hunting purposes. I enjoyed this book, it contained tons of great information. ( )

This is a great informational text providing lots of details about where dogs came from, what different types of dogs they have, characteristics of dogs, and also how to care for a dog. It uses photography to show real-life images of dogs as opposed to drawings. ( )

This book gives a lot of information about dogs such as types of breeds, their different abilities, their sense of smell, their sensitivity to sound, their intelligence, how they are born, jobs they perform, etc. This would be a good informational book for any student looking to learn about dogs.

This book traces the history of dogs from wolves to today's modern dogs. Classification of dogs to include the long relationship between working dogs and humans.

This book has large detailed photos however needs more captions.

I could use this book in my classroom as a science lesson dealing on classifications.
