In Jane Charles' Once Upon A Midnight Masquerade we have something of a Cinderella sotry. While in Edinburgh, Lady CLaresta sneaks away to attend a masquerade ball (not knowing that the women there are courtesans). Dressed as Juliet, she meets her own Romeo. They dance and share a kiss and then she must leave the balll to go home to London.
A year later Donavan MacGregor is in London on business and attenda a ball with some friends. Is it possible that the young woman he is introduced to was the Juliet he had been searching for.
This is a quick fun love at first site story and the Happily Ever After is worth it.
