The banter is amusing, the cheekiness is funny, the dangers are alarming, and the vampires didn't annoy me. Lots of win here. The prose is mostly good, just sometimes too simple in describing Finn's thoughts/feelings, and the last scene needed another edit pass for that in particular. But overall? So good I already bought book 2. ( ) 3.5 stars Goofy fun. I'm not usually one for the innuendos, but the narrator gave Marcus just the right type of dry voice to make the bantering between him and Finn work without going over the line. The humor isn't for everyone, but it hit me just right and kept me grinning most of the time. The Irish wolfhound stole the show though. DNF @20% I think a lot of people would like this but the characters in this book are just too similar to the characters from the other book I read by her. I really don’t like the set up of one hero who is quirky and new at a job and another hero who is super serious and annoyed all the time. I think because it’s the characters I have an issue with there’s just no way I would end up liking this book. This was so awesome. Finn and Marcus were hilarious! They had such great chemistry, especially considering Marcus couldn’t stand Finn. Finn was snarky and witty, and eventually wore everyone down into loving him. Great mystery story line and I’m looking forward to solving the secondary mystery that hasn’t yet been resolved. Fantastic story and writing, and I can’t wait to read more. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
