I'm finding it quite difficult to rate this book. Did I like it? Yes, I did. Was it what I expected? No...and that is where my issues lie.

I'm not sure what I was expecting from the blurb, but whatever it was, it wasn't what I got. I didn't expect to start smack in the middle of the relationship. No background, no idea actually what had happened or what was going on except what I had read in the blurb. And I found that hard to get into. The book was more than half finished before I did.

Having said all that, it was an enjoyable read. The characters were well written and the sex was hot. The dynamics in the trio seemed to work as well. I just have to admit that I would have preferred a much longer story with more of what happened before and perhaps more to follow... ( )

Big fan of Lissa Matthews and this book is nowhere close to her usual writing. Repitive, awkward, stilted sentences and dialogue and major overuse of the word "that". Don't give up on her m/m stories because Malachi's Word is amazing. ( )
