The purpose of the books in this series is to illustrate good qualities and to inspire children. Michael Faraday's life and character lends itself easily to this purpose. The book consists of approximately five chapters and about 140 pages in relatively large print. It is illustrated with original work, photographs and portraits from the time, and also with drawing to illustrate the story. Faraday has brief, fictional conversations with his friends and his family, which generally illustrate his character or explain his experiments. There are several diagrams of crucial experiments which are clear and comprehensible. Generally speaking, a good book and an excellent introduction to Faraday's life and work.
