Compare Bear is always comparing himself to others and, in his eyes, always falling short so he does not do what bears should do. Danny comes hiking in the woods and teaches Compare a few things.

The illustrations are great. As Compare compares himself to others, the drawings show what happens to Compare. It is humorous. Kids will enjoy the changes coming over Compare while learning that you need to just be you, not someone else. It is not preachy but does teach the lesson well.

I look forward to more of the books in this series. ( )
