A super-cute and fun-loving dog hijacks what would otherwise be a generic, rote learning picture book for toddlers. Yay, dogs!

Now this would have been a great Goodreads Choice Award nominee. ( )

On the cover, "My First Animal Book" has been crossed out, and "This Is A Dog" written in crayon; next to the title(s) is a dog with a black crayon in its mouth. The frisky dog wants to be the center of attention, and nudges all of the other animals out of the way to be the star. Very funny; good for storytime.
