I don't normally add picture books to my Read list, but I had to throw this one in. It crossed my desk as I was Librarian-ing, and I just had to read it. First, the title. I date myself, but the pun made me chuckle. Then, the premise. I suppose it's a metaphor for reluctant readers. How do you get the people to read, when they're busy raiding and fighting and building and surviving? Ronan figures out books are awesome, and reads more and more of them until he has so many he has to build a library to house them all. Then he tries to get his people interested, but he has no success, until he figures out the magic solution! (You'll have to read the book to find out what it is!) ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Ronan was a mighty barbarian. He invaded. He raided. And back home, he traded. He always found the greatest treasures. Until one day, Ronan found something no barbarian wants: A BOOK. This humorous picture book from sister duo Tara Luebbe and Becky Cattie and illustrator Victoria Maderna follows Ronan the Barbarian as he he grows from being just a rough-and-tumble warrior to a rough-and-tumble warrior who loves books. At first, his fellow barbarians are skeptical of his newfound passion for reading, but in the end, even they aren't immune to the charms of a good book.
