A quick and fun rewrite of Pygmalion. Miss Rose Higgins is engaged to teach a new member of the ton, David Shaw, the proprieties. David was raised in the slums of London but has just learned he's the new Viscount as his father married his mother who was a chambermaid. He's less than enthusiastic about this project until he sets his sight on Rose.
Rose and David are both likable in their own way. This is one story that might have been better if it was a full-length book; it suffers from not giving more depth to the two lead characters. Still, it's a charming read. ( )

Pygmalion with a twist...this time Viscount David Shaw is playing Eliza Doolittle getting an education for his debut in society and Rose Higgins is playing Professor Henry Higgins...I had the sound track of My Fair Lady running through my mind as I read this book ;)

What I liked:
* David – true to himself but willing to do whatever it took to provide for himself and his mother
* Rose – I liked her...she was much more than a woman who taught etiquette and deportment
* David & Rose together :)
* Richard – David’s cousin in line for the Viscountcy was a good man who did the right thing...would love to see him find romance in a future book
* The HEA ending

What I didn’t like:
* That so much suffering took place in the lives of Rose, David and David’s mother...long before the story begins.
