Having already read and enjoyed Deal's earlier book, How Nivi Got Her Names, which addresses Inuit customs around naming and adoption, I picked up this second picture-book, also published by the Nunavut-based Inhabit Media, with interest. Although I didn't find it quite as engaging as that earlier book, it was sweet, and the accompanying artwork from Campeau was lovely. Recommended to anyone looking for new bedtime books with a wintry and/or Arctic theme. ( )
