This is the one I've been waiting for ever since Alta Hensley first introduced us to this world. I've been wanting more of Cheri and Roman and we finally got them!

Roman is an honest to god Prince who needs his Princess. Cheri has been betrothed to Roman since they were children. They were each other's first everything, but she couldn't stay in that royal life, so she ran so far and fast.

I really like Roman, for all that he comes off as a jerkwad at first. He figures out what he did wrong, though, and fixes it. I like Cheri, but I think she isn't always as strong as she wants everyone to think she is. However, she is string, but it's strength and flexibility that lets her bend instead of stand tall and break. It's a totally different kind of strength and one that serves her well.

I don't like some of the things that Roman has to do. I get why he had to do them, but I really don't like that he made the choices he did. ( )

Out of all the books in this series, this book was by far the best one. From the first chapter, I was hooked. In the fourth book, the Brotherhood and the initiations were introduced. This book further expanded on those initiations and it was way more intense. A couple of the scenes reminded me of The Black Light Series(which everyone needs to read) and is probably why I liked it so much.

This book is a standalone but still reintroduces previous characters in passing. I have been waiting for Roman's story since the beginning. There was something about me that intrigued me. I was right to have had my interest piqued because he was definitely in a league all his own which says something because all of these men have a darkness to them. I loved Cheri and her feisty attitude and understood her fear. I was disappointed at the epilogue as I wanted to see a little more in the future.

Still, all an all it was a great addition. I am not sure if there will be more included in this series. I hope so and I hope they are more like this. ( )
