This was a fun little book that I would have really enjoyed when I was growing up. I've always been a football (soccer) fan, so this still made it fun to read today. This book is filled with lots of trivia, jokes, quizzes, and much more. Sometimes it was of the corny nature that my younger self would really have enjoyed, but I still found myself chuckling a lot all the same. There are other books in this series, but this is the first one I have read. This is a great read for the young soccer fan in your life and who knows, you may enjoy it yourself! Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. As usual this series is very amusing and informational at the same time. I'm not even remotely interested in Soccer and I like this book series a lot. It's slowly becoming one of my favorite children's series. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. This book has such a unique format...part illustrated chapter book, part magazine-quiz style, and part text book. The narration while informational includes plenty of wit and bathroom humor. I was impressed by the connections the authors were able to make to soccer, including climate change, the importance of sleep, baking, fashion, etc. Heck, a book about soccer that explains malapropism...is truly a unique find. The writers have found a niche style that will connect well with young kids. I'm planning to add the first two seasons to my library as well. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. This is a great book for children who like soccer. It explains the sport while explaining the major subjects in school. It breaks down the subjects and makes them easier to understand, and it would appeal to children who have a hard time relating to school but relate to soccer. The book has text you can jump around reading and lots of pictures, making it even more accessible. Many of the illustrations are funny cartoons that will engage readers and make them laugh. Plus there are quizzes and fun facts. Children of all interests will find the book engaging and will want to continue reading. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
