If you are looking for details of the story read the other reviews. I have found this book wholly engaging as well as the entire series. I am amazed that Brown has kept up quality while not slowing down the pace of his production. His characters are not wooden chess pieces. They are complex multi=demensional people which strengths and flaws. The enemy aliens have a separate voice with reasonable motives from their perspective. Nor are they bumbling fools that lose every battle.Neither side holds an overwhelming advantage in technology or tactics. These balances make for great individual stories and the series whose quality is greater than its individual pieces. ( )
