I have gotten to know Alexin aka Alex from The Chronicles of Eledon series. It was from that series that I became a fan of this author. Ms. Parker has made me really enjoy reading about elves and fantasy again.

In this new series, Alex is main lead again. Because I am familiar with Alex and what she is capable of; I was a bit let down with this book. It did not show as strongly as I know that Ms. Parker and Alex are capable of. Not a lot was shown about the world of Eledon or ground new readers to this book. However, because I am a fan I do plan to read the next book in this series as I need to know what happens to Alex after the betrayal she was dealt. (
