It is a very inspirational book about how a girl uses her wheelchair and also uses her body being pulling herself on the ground with her arms. This book is very educational and eye opening and its great for teaching kids about disabilities. I would have this in my future classroom In this book, Carolyn shares her perspective on going to school and hanging out with friends. She has a wheelchair and there are some things that she can't do, but she focuses on the things she can do! This book could be a great read-out-loud in the classroom for third grade. I think that this book could be used in the classroom to show how to be a good friend to everyone, and that there is always a way to help people feel included. "Yes I Can" is a great book that teaches children about living with a disability. The main character "Carolyn" is in a wheelchair and the book illustrates and explains that people in wheelchairs are very capable of doing almost everything that able-bodied individuals can do. However, it also shows some things they can not do and it provides ways that kids can be inclusive towards those with disabilities. I found this book to be an excellent way to teach children social skills in dealing with other disabled students and also teaches children how to be kind to others. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
"Carolyn is in a wheelchair, but she doesn't let that stop her! She can do almost everything the other kids can, even if sometimes she has to do it a little differently"-- No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
