Clayton Rorick and Veronica King.

I absolutely loved this story.
I can't say I am very familiar with this author before but my goodness she packs a punch.
I found some scenes very emotional. Lots of depth to her characters.
Dual POV, though it is predominantly Veronica with the odd chapter to Clayton. This really works as Clayton is a bit brooding and although we get some of his feelings it takes time to see his history and motives.
There is no O/W drama. No cheating.
There is a separation and during that time both the Hero and heroine are celibate.
The heroine is no push over, though she is battling with herself to be strong.
The Hero is amazing, there is a lot going on under his cool façade. I don't want to explain too much not to spoil it but there are some suprises.
There are lots of hints dropped to other secondary characters and their stories.
HEA.

It is rare I give 5 stars but I was in a really book funk and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I devoured it.
