It took me a while to warm up to the humor of these cartoons, but a couple body horror strips finally won me over. There were several other good chuckles to be found amongst his strips about being a young urban professional and his trips to Japan and his mother's house in Montana.

I'd certainly check out another book of his cartoons, but I'm going to pass on the text-heavy stuff of his I see at my library for now. ( )

Funny how depression can be so entertaining.... A collection of cartoons that will bring a smile to your face, especially if you're feeling down:

Cute, funny, and offbeat. I laughed out loud a few times and the art is colorful and fun to look at.

There are a few recycled bits from the artist's various social media pages so if you're a super fan, be aware. They are very few and there are a few familiar looking strips that have had panels reworked or changed for the book which is a nice touch. ( )

I adore Adam Ellis' web comics and follow him faithfully across many platforms.

As anticipated, I was amused immediately, on the dedication page actually "This book is dedicated to Missy Elliot" what's not to love?! Also, her music will be playing in the background for the duration of the book, the stage is set...I put my kindle down, flip it and reverse it.

I laughed at nearly every single panel which is hard to do these days but a lot of what he's about relates to the things I'm about. Whether it's being a plant qween or ardent lover and defender of three legged cat roommates, I'm about it. You don't have to belong to a certain generation to think this book is funny but if you're between the ages of 12 and 50, ever go on the internet or outside, have ever used an InstaSnapBook app.... then there's something here for you.
