"All Michael Hollister wanted was death. What he got was time travel. Convicted of murder, and with nothing left to live for, Michael commits suicide in his prison cell in 1977, then opens his eyes in 1966, in his eight year old body, all memories of his previous life intact. His first thoughts are of the dark intentions of his father. When the man who raised him once again tries to do the unthinkable, Michael has a chance to right his childhood's greatest wrong. But, can he do that without becoming a killer all over again?"--Page 4 of cover.… (más)

Second in a series about linked people who relive their lives until they get them right. Hollister was the evil villain of the first book (which I didn’t read) and when he wakes up as a little kid he spends a while killing his abusive dad before he gets bored with that and tries to forge a different path. Meanwhile one of his prior victims is on her own journey. If you enjoy redemption arcs and like “cranky adult in kid body, but no sexualization of that kid or his relations with other kids” (but note the past sexual abuse) then it might be something you’d enjoy. Michael Hollister was a despicable piece of crap in [b:The Unusual Second Life of Thomas Weaver|31286995|The Unusual Second Life of Thomas Weaver (Middle Falls Time Travel Series Book 1)|Shawn Inmon|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1469758906s/31286995.jpg|51947288], so I was a little hesitant about reading more about him, especially any redemption. But I'm glad I did. I don't know if I believe that this is how a serial killer would be redeemed, but it works here.
I'm also intrigued by the continuation of Carrie Copeland's story, and how the whole monitoring process works. Hoping that the plan is to explore that more in the upcoming books. ( )
