The only thing actor Cameron Scott wants more than fame is Sarah Travers, the sassy director's assistant who's been his best friend since his days as an unknown. After a night spent drinking too much tequila, their relationship moves in a whole new direction. Suddenly, things couldn't be more perfect ... until Cameron lands the coveted lead in a major motion picture and the studio sets up a "fauxmance" with his gorgeous new co-star. He promised nothing would come between them, but then Hollywood did. Now, can their love survive his fame?

Let's get this off the list for discussion I loved both characters. Sarah is that curvy girl- looked over - heroine that many of us can relate to. Cameron is that mix of famous but has a good heart and intentions. Yep, those damn intentions. Which left me to yell at one of the characters at one time or another because they just making the wrong decision to right a wrong. What I found wonderful and original was the handling of their final leap of friends to lovers - granted alcohol involved. That they finally... finally get there and Real Life throws a wrench into the plans.
I found the story to engage me because the characters were both relatable - real life feeling individuals. It's hard to admit you actually want more when you aren't sure if the other feels the same. Ms. Norinne pulled off this theme and endear the characters to the reader. Although I may have felt some parts I wanted to hurry up, it didn't detract from the story where I would otherwise skim over it. There is more to be had in books that continue the series. You could stop here and be satisfied. But why stop with a great friends to lovers with a bit of faux romance mixed in. ( )
