I found this author via kindle unlimited, read this book and appreciated her skills at telling a story, fleshing out the characters that I bought it . There are so many bad to mediocre regency romances being published now that when you find a gem like this please buy her books so she can continue writing. ( ) This is a very enjoyable Regency romance, with echoes of Georgette Heyer, about how misunderstandings can cause so much trouble and open up a whole can of worms. It’s extremely well written and plotted with great attention to historical detail. I loved the chapter headings giving an inkling to their content! I also found the author’s notes at the back of the book very interesting. There are some wonderfully vivid and realistic characters, most of them likeable and, of course, the odd one or two unlikeable ones! It’s a fun, nicely paced and lively read. What’s more, it kept me entertained. I look forward to reading more by Catherine Kullman! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

And they lived happily ever after. Or did they? Cast out by her father for refusing the suitor of his choice, Lallie Grey accepts Hugo Tamrisk's proposal, confident that he loves her as she loves him. But what were Hugo's reasons for marriage and what does he really want of his bride? With chapter headings taken from an early nineteenth-century Matrimonial Map, Perception & Illusion charts Lallie's and Hugo's voyage through a sea of confusion and misunderstanding. Can they successfully negotiate the Rocks of Jealousy and the Shoals of Perplexity to arrive at the Bay of Delight or will they drift inexorably towards Cat & Dog Harbour or the Dead Lake of Indifference? What they said about Catherine Kullmann's writing: 'Fans of historical fiction will be delighted with a well-wrought story and a wealth of authentic detail.' 'A page-turning plot of romance and intrigue with well-developed characters set in an extremely well-researched and detailed Regency period.' "Deliciously romantic with wonderful characters, elegant writing and perfect period detail. Hugely enjoyable!" - Nicola Cornick No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
