A captivating new sexy standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. Special Forces veteran and Dark Knights Motorcycle Club member Bullet Whiskey lives to protect his family, their bar, and the residents of his small hometown. He's rough, unapologetic, and haunted by a secret, painful past. He's also a master at keeping people away, and when his sister hires gorgeous and sweet Finlay Wilson to help expand their biker bar, he knows just how to get rid of her. After losing her boyfriend and her father, Finlay moves back to her hometown to be closer to the little family she has left. She needs her temporary job at Whiskey Bro's to get her catering business off the ground, and she's determined not to let the gruff, arrogant mountain of a man Bullet Whiskey scare her off. Finlay is everything Bullet has never wanted. She's afraid of his dog, afraid of motorcycles, and sweet enough to give him cavities, but as she weaves her way into the hearts of everyone around him, he's powerless to resist her charms. Passion ignites, but trust doesn't come easily, and when their pasts collide, Bullet finds out the true meaning of protecting those he loves. "Don't go after your sweetheart with your brawn, baby. Go after her with your heart.

That's the biggest and best thing that sets you apart from every other tough guy out there." (Excerpt- Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster - Red & Bullet, a mother's heartfelt words to her son)

Not often do I stumble across the perfect words to describe my feelings, but Ms. Foster made it easy. With a limited amount of words, she summed up the enigma that is Brandon "Bullet" Whiskey. Bullet looked like a warrior, but he had the heart of a champion. I've read many Melissa Foster novels and although I have loved all of them, the Whiskeys are my favorite characters of hers. Why? This family proves that a good heart shouldn't be judged by how you look, but the things you do. The Whiskeys may look tough and at times act tough, but their greatest strength is their ability to love unconditionally. Bullet has to learn to trust his heart when he finds his soulmate. Finlay is his greatest weakness, but she could be his everlasting reward. Not many authors have a direct line to the heart, Melissa Foster has that gift and she does wonders with it. ( )

There is nothing I love more that a gruff bear of a man, and I have seemed to have found all of that and more in Bullet Whiskey, the lead character in Melissa Fosters latest book, Driving Whiskey Wild.

Now while my comments above are light-hearted, this book is not, and yet again the author manages to tackle the difficult subject of PTSD, while keeping the book relatable, and on track.

So the story is about seriously gruff Bullet Whiskey, and his wish for the one women who makes his blood run hot...Finlay Wilson.

This book is another outstanding sweet with heat book from the author, and I for one loved the fast paced, all or nothing sort of books, that reflects real life, which is something we have come to expect from this author.

Driving Whiskey Wild is a delicious morsel, and one that I will be reading, again and again, so with that being said, I give Driving Whiskey Wild 5 stars

Driving Whiskey Wild is a beautiful blend of opposites attract, small town romance, MC Club, and ex-military! Finlay is moving back to Peaceful Harbor to be close to her sister and hopefully start a catering business. Bullet Whiskey is out of the military a little worse for wear but running the family bar. He is gruff, suffering from PTSD, and not thrilled to have Finlay around trying to change the bar. Finlay is an adorable ray of sunshine that is completely contrary to Bullet. She is pink, frilly dresses. He is black leather. They are perfect for each other!

I really enjoyed both Bullet and Finlay as characters. Finlay is more than just a sweet, naive woman which I appreciated. It was nice to see a heroine who was girly, generous, kind, and not a naive ninny. I also appreciated that Bullet was more than a brusque jerk suffering from PTSD. He has some lingering struggles, but they are not the only thing about him. Both Finlay and Bullet are layered and dynamic. Their relationship is just as layered and its progression was natural and enjoyable.

There isn't much danger or suspense to the story. The plot centers around these two building a relationship and seeing if they can make something work. They both have a past that creates some blocks, but they navigate them in mature ways. If you like your romance to be sophisticated and not filled with unnecessary angst, Driving Whiskey Wild is the perfect pick for a weekend binge! The characters of this small town are endearing and you will want to come back to Peaceful Harbor!

The Whiskey Family is tough, tattooed, and run a biker club. I love everything about them. Along with all of that they are true to themselves, have strong family values, and work hard for what they want. Driving Whiskey Wild is Bullet’s story. He is fighting so many demons. PTSD from what he saw and experienced in war is the cause of many of his issues. Bullet just needs the right woman to help him beat those demons.

I like that both Bullet and Finlay have experienced life. They have had rough times and still managed to come out on the otherside. They are not privileged, they have had to work to earn their way in the world. They both have reasons for not feeling like they could be loved again. Together Bullet and Finlay just make sense. They can understand each other, support each other, and love each other because they are alike in so many ways.

If you are familiar with Melissa Foster and are looking for a sweet, loving, tender book Driving Whiskey Wild is not it. This is a hardcore, in your face, tough book. There are many sweet, loving, and tender moments but there is also a lot of swearing and hard conversations being had. ( )

There is just something about The Whiskeys and those around them, the pure love they have for each other, the bond and loyalty between them, the selfless actions they are willing to take for one another when needed makes for such a great read. You can feel the closeness, the secure calming feeling of knowing you are a part of their group. This and the fact that Melissa Foster makes it impossible not to fall in love with Bullet and Finlay will have you thoroughly enjoying the whole story.

Within a few pages I was already smiling at humour between Bullet and Finlay, not willing to let each other get the better of each other, like dogs with a toy, their banter is hilarious. It's definitely a case of opposites attract and the want between them is obviously undeniable, their strong connection poured from the pages. It was also impossible not feel the protective force for Finlay from Bullet from those first chapters.

As the story unfolds they end up being a source of strength for each other, both opening up and helping each other from their hurtful past, easing one anothers pain, growing stronger because of the love they share. Reading how this conflicted hunk of a man freely feeling emotions and love for the first time is years is quite emotional. But will their love for each other be enough to win the battle of emotions they face?

I ended up doing my usual trick when I'm absolutely loving a book of thinking up excuses to keep myself busy so I could hold back from reading the last few chapters so it didn't have to come to an end, I could have happily carried on reading about Bullet, Finlay and the Whiskey family and friends. I'm so looking forward to reading Dixie's story, just imagine how many hoops those Whiskey brothers will have him skipping through just to pass the their test for approval!

They say never judge a book by it's cover, well that's totally not the case for The Whiskeys, just look at that strong muscular body of the deep dark lovable hunk of a man, Bullet, he not only has you drooling at the cover but will have your heart skipping a beat in the story too.

An immense story of healing through love and of the magic that love can bring between two people. ( )
