When Dale Earnhardt Jr was born, his dad (Dale Earnhardt) was well into his NASCAR career. Dale Earnhardt Jr was born to race. Dale didn't get any help from his dad to get involved in NASCAR. He had to prove himself to get into the sport. Dale Jr's dad was so impressed with his son's driving abilities in the lower NASCAR series, he offered him a ride in the Nationwide Series for his own team (Dale Earnhardt Incorporated). Dale Jr went on to win the Nationwide Series Championships for the next 2 years (1998 and 1999). Dale entered his first season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2000. For the next 4 years he contended for the championship but came up short.
This is a really good book. It tells you a lot of cool and important information on Dale Earnhardt Jr. I highly suggest if you are a NASCAR fan or a motor racing fan, that you read this book. This is a good book for those kind of people because in parts of the book they talk about the points system in the sport and you need to understand it to get the book. Matt Doeden writes in a unique way. He says when the event happened in some of his sentences. For example, "From an early age, Dale was fascinated with cars".
