Ruby writes great stories and isn't afraid to let her heroines be who they are. If the character isn't shy and retiring, Ruby doesn't try to shove her into that place, which makes for a better story and more enjoyable characters. I love the set up for the Corsair universe, and the main characters are really sweet, but the romance didn't have much spark and not much happens in the last 2/3 of the book. (
