I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this book. I cried. I smiled. I felt emotions that tugged at this jaded heart. I cried again. And I laughed. A LOT.

We never know what the universe has in store for us. Sometimes our paths differ from what we have planned. Not always do we see the reason why until later. This is a great example of accepting life for the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Parker is going down as one of my favorite heroines ever. I loved her snark, her, wit, her insight, her humor, and most importantly her heart. She was pure joy. She made me want to be a better person. I fell in love with Gus. I didn't think anything could get better than him. Until devastation struck and in enters Levi. Holy swoon. This guy. I loved his vulnerability, his inability to lie, his finding a reason to make everyday his favorite.

I hated Parker's sister, Piper, until the end. My heart broke and I ugly cried as she consoled Parker. I loved the relationship with her family.

I'm a huge fan of Jewel now. I will remember this story for a long time. ( )
