I came across this string of books by Kate and Jim McMullan and I thought it was an interesting concept. The books are all titled "I'm ______!" followed by some adjective, like big or smart. The books push the idea of being proud of yourself for children and offer encouragement and ways for children to give themselves pep-talks. The illustrations are soft and fun and help spread the positive thinking of the book. "I'm Smart!" also had interactive pages with emphasized phrases like "Count 'em!" on one page telling the reader to count the bus stops. ( ) Kate & Jim McMullan's books in this series are indeed awesome amd entertaining for children. I read three different books in this series, and they loved them all. Teacher, check this book out for transportation week and even for you personal classroom library. I HIGHLY recommend this book along with the others. Happy reading! The importance of a school bus and the bus driver is greatly shown through this book. It shows that the driver must be thoughtful and resourceful in order to get the kid to school on time. It teaches that the driver is the only way the students do make it to school, so they are super important. I think this book teaches a good lesson on being thankful for people who do "smaller" jobs than others, because these jobs are just as important as any other job. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
