Just out of an eighteen-year marriage, the last thing Jackson expects the first time he visits a gay bar is for a sexy, drunk, twenty-six-year-old twink to mistakenly climb into his Jeep. The twink part he's good with, the drunk part...not so much. As far as Jackson's concerned, the boy should come with a warning label. But Derek is not as flighty as Jackson thought...he's actually pretty incredible. Getting to know the wild, funny man is a breath of fresh air. And when Derek calls him Daddy? Christ, he never thought something like that would feel so right. Derek has serious daddy issues, and his name is Jackson. He's stubborn and controlling...and ever since Derek woke up in the silver fox's condo, he can't get Jackson out of his mind. Maybe because no matter how many times he throws himself at him, Jackson doesn't take the bait. And maybe because Jackson is the one person who sees him for who he really is. But Derek loves a challenge, and he's eager to rock Jackson's world. Jackson isn't interested in a meaningless hookup. He wants the real Derek, not just the sassy jokester everyone else sees. But it's not easy for Derek to open up. He feels much safer guarding his heart. And Jackson needs to figure out the balance between living for himself and the mountain of responsibilities weighing him down. Derek and Jackson must find the common ground between hookup and commitment--if they can't own their issues and work together to overcome their faults, they could smother the flame between them that's just beginning to ignite.… (más)

Like the previous two books this had some fun, a lot of sass, and a good dash of dirty smexy, making it a consistent win.

Derek is the life of the party as he’s always looking for a hookup, always looking for a very good time. What he hides under that party persona is a guy who just wants someone special to call his own but who’s too afraid to let anyone in. When Derek gets into Jackson’s car thinking he’s his uber driver, he never would’ve imagined that something wonderful would come of it.

Jackson is the complete opposite of Derek. Responsible, stable, the caretaker of everyone in his life - he’s got a lot on his plate and though he’s been through a recent amicable divorce, he barely has the time nor the inclination to try out the other side of his bisexuality. When literally mischief falls into his lap, Jackson sees right through Derek’s veneer of fun superficiality and makes it a point to get to know the guy. What Jackson finds is someone with depth but who's also perfect for showing him the ropes, if you know what I mean. *wink*

For lovers of daddy kink, this just might be your jam. I’m not even close to being a connoisseur (it’s not my cup) but I don’t think many will be disappointed. Though a whopping 400 plus pages, this went down pretty easily. What Hart and McCormack excel at with this Metropolis series is that in and amongst all the hot gay singles finding their true love, there’s dashes of emotional gravitas, but never prolonging unnecessary melodrama. Let me tell you, I appreciate that a whole fucking lot. This has some ups and some downs, the obligatory roadblock that gets in the way of our MC’s happiness (although very briefly), with lots and lots of explicitness to satisfy most (though honestly, I could've gone with less use of the word “hole”, seeing as how it’s said 40 times).

Anyhoo. Consistent sexy fun.

I’m gonna be honest, I never liked books with power bottoms or overly slutty twinks. They are always the same, repeating over and over how slutty this person is, how shallow and super fabulous. But wait we discover they are tortured souls with a heart of gold. Honestly we get it.
I don’t like Daddy and Boy relationships; those two were 26 and 37. Not for me.

When the word "Epilogue" appeared I sighed in relieve. I wonder if the narrator was relieved too. ( )
