In this warm, high-spirited contemporary novel from author Elisa Lorello, big love can happen in the smallest of spaces.Skye Littleton said goodbye to her job, her best friend, and her home in Rhode Island to start over in Billings, Montana, with Vance Sandler, a gorgeous guy she met online. On her cross-country flight, Skye shares her happy story with her seatmate, Harvey Wright, a Billings resident who knows Vance--and his reputation for heartbreak. Harvey's infuriating advice to Skye? Go home. When Skye arrives, she discovers that Vance has changed his mind and wants nothing to do with her. Despite the setback, Skye is determined to rebuild her life and begin a new chapter in Montana's largest city, which sometimes feels like a small town. With Harvey's help, Skye finds a job--and a passion for organizing closets and clearing out clutter. But as she grows closer to Harvey, she finds herself homesick for her former life. This book reminds me a little of a modern day fairy tale. The underlying message in this book, self worth, not to mention the pitfalls of the internet, are excellent. You will cheer for Skye through the whole book. A great book to read at the beach, or curl up with. The author did a great job with the scenic descriptions.

Thanks to Net Galley for this book in return for an honest review. ( )

I'm of two minds with this book. Skye Littleton is a character with obviously low self esteem that is extremely touchy about everything anybody says to her. Actually, in the beginning of the book she is immature and shallow. She is always justifying other's concern and doubts by thinking that they are jealous etc and when the popo hits the fan, she wonders why they never told her to be careful... It is one of her less than stellar qualities and becomes quite grating after a while.

That said, this book has many other redeeming qualities once you are able to look past the irritating bits.

On the whole this book is about growing up, taking risks, learning to love yourself, doing things because you want to do them and not to please your parents, boyfriend etc. It is about being yourself and discovering what your passions are, even when significant people in your life pull up their noses.

On the whole I wanted to hug this book to my chest, like a well loved teddy bear, it was in essence such a feel good book. About a woman who never thought that she would amount to much in life taking a chance, spreading her wings and achieving her dreams.

So now we come to my being of two minds. How to rate it. If it were not for the grating issues I would have given it a 4. But, having disliked Skye so much at one point I just cannot bring myself to gieve it more than a 2.5 or 3.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this book. ( )
