Heath's story. I rounded down 1 star because of the author's excessive use of the words "rumbled" & "chuckled". Heath, Ryker, & Denver are still on the run and still helping with the Copper Killer case. Their FBI agent friend is murdered and her sister connects with Heath to draw the killer out. During that time they of course become embroiled in a romance that he doesn't think he's worthy of. More information from the brothers past is revealed and it's an action packed adventure till the end. ( )

After finishing my re-read of this first book in this series, I was eager to dive into the second book in the trilogy. I found this to be another entertaining story that hooked me quickly and held my interest until the very end. This is the second book in the Blood Brothers trilogy and I definitely feel that the trilogy should be read in order but I will take it a step further and say that it is really best to have read the Sin Brothers series before starting this trilogy since those characters play a part in the story. I am glad that I finally decided to give this book a try.

There is a killer on the loose and he has Anya in his sights. He has already killed her sister and he is not done. Anya makes a statement that taunts the killer and names Heath as her fiance. Heath and his brothers were hoping to stay hidden instead of being thrust into the spotlight. Heath and Anya join forces and they not only have to outwit the Cooper Killer but they also have to avoid Dr. Madison and her crew. The story had enough action and excitement to keep things moving and my interest level high.

I liked Anya and Heath and wanted to see things work out for them. There were times that Anya seemed rather reckless but I thought that Heath was almost always able to get things on track. I liked them as a couple and thought that the emotion between them felt very genuine. I loved the scenes that featured the rest of the brothers and loved how they are always ready to back each other up.

Karen White did a fantastic job with the narration. I love the various voices that she used for the cast of characters. It was always very easy to determine who was talking. She has a very pleasant voice and I like the way she is able to add just the right about of emotion to her reading. I do believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of this story.

I would recommend this book to others. I had a fantastic time with this story and enjoyed seeing all the characters work together as a team. I cannot wait to read the final book in this trilogy.

Anya Best is beside herself. A serial killer murdered her sister, an FBI agent, and he is on he loose. Anya will do anything to help catch the man, even acting as bait. Not so to private investigator Heath Jones. As he knew the latest victim of the serial killer, when her sister, Anya, asks for help, he indeed steps in. Heath, along with his brothers, Ryker and Denver, has his own method for getting the guy. However, Anya unwittingly thwarts Heath's plans, as she taunts the killer, thus placing both herself and Heath in danger.

Heath's past is dangerous and things are coming to a head. Now exposed, Heath must contend with keeping not only himself and Anya safe, but must also protect his brothers. In the first book in this series, readers learned of Isobel Madison and Sheriff Elton Cobb. They were pivotal to the brothers' past, and are front and center when it comes to their present danger.

This book starts off with a bang! I found it to be thrilling as searching for the killer was paramount, but then so was staying one step ahead of Madison and Cobb. As in the previous story, there is passion, suspense and danger in spades. The Jones brothers are relentless, but are very good to the women in their lives. In this case, the relationship between Heath and Anya works, right from the outset.

Lethal Lies is the second on the Blood Brothers series. This book would be better served if Deadly Silence, the first in the series, has been read. The last book in the trilogy, which is another must-read, is Twisted Truths. ( )
