I liked Ansel who was on a mission from Robert the Bruce to protect the Earl of Lancaster's bastard son from King Edward but he seemed to be the typical alpha male who you find in these novels. He was honorable yet had a problem controlling his lust. I wish authors would stop depicting Scottish Highlanders as slaves to their genitals.
Besides my complaints, it was a good read and I'm interested in the next in the series. ( )
