That said, this wasn't a bad read. I was a bit fuzzy on previous details but I enjoyed how Jules and Malachi worked towards uncovering the villain and the romance was sweet if not fraught with loss and sadness. The sex scenes and assault were a bit more explicit than the previous books but not overly graphic or violent compared to some others.
Although we see a bit of the rest of the PAVAD I didn't feel we got the team support that was present in some of the other books. Malachi and Jules were sort of separate from the rest. Al's point of view helped a bit but it wasn't often or enough to include the PAVAD team.
Still the plot was interesting and I do love the PAVAD team. Plus Jules was a total badass with her
