It was nice to revisit some old friends from the first book in the series. Serenah and Charlie play a pivotal role in this story. Elizabeth and Nathan have decided to spend a weekend away from the kids. They stay at the quaint Inn ran by Senenah. It is no accident that they are there , as God has a divine appointment for them. I loved the struggles that the characters dealt with in their marriage. No one has a perfect marriage and the author touches on a subject that for many is hard to forgive. As Elizabeth and Nathan slowly slipped away from God, they lost their way in the marriage.

I think the hardest thing for a spouse to do is to forgive . The lies, betrayal and hurt is overwhelming. Elizabeth had been deeply hurt and felt betrayed. The time she spent with Serenah in prayer was very moving. I liked how the couple reached out for guidance and were willing to work on their marriage. The story is filled with pain, betrayal, trust issues and pride. Will Elizabeth and Nathan be able to work on their marriage? Will they invite God back into their marriage? It's a great book that gives readers a glimpse into a troubled marriage and how they seek God for answers.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sin." I Peter 4:8

I received a copy of this book from the author. The review is my own opinion. ( )
