This is an amazing book about the life of Thurgood Marshall, the first African American appointed as as American Supreme Court Justice. It talks about more than just Brown vs. Board of Educations which is what most people know about him. You get a lot more insight into who he was as a person and why he fought for equality. ( ) I liked this book for several reasons, First I liked that the book was a biography and informational text. Therefore I enjoyed the writing because it gave background on Thurgood Marshall as well as gave background information on what certain things are. For example Marshall was the first African American appointed to the Supreme Court. The story continues to explain that the Supreme Court is the highest court in the country and it began over 200 years ago when the Constitution of the United States was written. I also enjoyed the descriptive language. The book gives helpful insight on what Marshall was feeling at the time for example it says "Thurgood felt bad about this." The big idea of this story is to stand up for what is right. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
