A duck believes that he should be the star of the show, not that pesky disappearing bear. This book doesn't merely break the fourth wall, but takes a wrecking ball to it in a very funny way. Great read-aloud, and very clever endpapers - make sure to peek under the jacket flaps!

totally silly story!! ( )

The illustrations are a joy and the story is pretty darn cute!

This is a cute book about a duck who is trying to be a main character of a book, since Ducks usually never are. The whole main part about this book is that people are trying to find out where the bear is since you can never find him in this book. Also we meet many other different animals as we are going through the book and they are trying to help us find where the bear is. The characters all come together in many different parts of the book on the different pages as well. However at the ending of the book we think we see the bear but then it is the duck like in all other parts of the book later on we finally see the bear at the very end of the book which is the back cover of it.
