A short book by an MD which examines people he has worked with, including his own patients, who claimed to have had near death experiences. This is the second in what has become a series. The first was Life After Life, and subsequent is called Light Beyond. This is the middle book. I wouldn't ever recommend anything New Age but this book is balanced and fairly uncontroversial. He seems to have gone into New Age now but Reflections on Life After Life was written 1977. He calls for more psychological interviews and statistical studies of persons who claim near death experiences. This isn't a good idea since in reality it would become the domain of quacks or semi-quacks. He does say that some people remember nothing at all, so his "reflections" only occupy those who happen to recall such 'events.' Very short and to the point. He considers historical examples such as from Bede the Venerable, Celtic literature, as well as notes in fictional such as Tolstoy's novel The Death of Ivan Ilyich. This book, the sequel to "Life After Life" is somewhat smaller than the previous book, and contains some interesting observations gleaned from the anecdotal evidence of those who came near to death and survived. Moody talks of the elements of the NDE that fewer people have: seeing the realm of "bewildered spirits" (ghosts), Cities of Light, dopplegangers, and so on. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
International bestseller, Life After Life, first published in 1975, established the field of NDE research. In Reflections on Life After Life, he conducts further case studies that reveal common descriptions of cities of light, a realm of confused spirits, and divine judgment of one's actions in life.
