Robert Cormier's classic 1974 novel. The Chocolate War is still required reading in high schools nearly thirty years after being published. Cormier went on to write many well-received books for middle school and young adults that were groundbreaking in terms of providing readers with characters whose lives they could relate to. Otherwise known as problem novels, Cormier's books ring of authenticity. Like the other titles in this series, this biography captures the spirit of a great author and provides insight into his life and work. Cormier died in 2000, but his books still live on. This is an excellent read and resource for his fans and for students who are interested in learning more about this great author. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
