Redundant am I? Melissa Foster should be proud of the Wild Boys After Dark series. She combined sexy tales with emotional journeys of healing, wisdom,love and forgiveness. What I find so compelling about this series is that each man handled the tragic events surrounding their father's death in a different way. Logan felt guilty for not protecting them when they needed him most. Heath figures being in control will not leave him vulnerable. Jackson and Cooper seem more analytical. Logically they know nothing could have been done but are emotionally tormented by it all. Jackson's torment ate at him. It almost cost him his best friend Laney. He internalized all the pain and push everyone away. His father's death felt like a rejection to him and he did not want to feel that pain again. Melissa Foster has done it again. She has developed a series called Wild Boys After Dark. In this series, the boys are a little darker, sexier and tragic. The sex scenes are a little steamier and hot!! Jackson is dealing with the tragic death of his father and the accidental blinding of his mother. He has retreated from emotions except for his relationship with his childhood friend Erica (Laney) Lane. They have a friends with benefits relationship. Both of them are blind to their true feelings for each other until a choice has to be made.

Erica has a boyfriend who comes across as a real wimp. Who would know about her relationship with Jackson and let it continue while they were dating?? However, he proposes to Erica and she has to make a decision. Take the “safe” choice with Bryce or take a chance on Jackson admitting he feels the same.

Melissa’s characters are always complex and well developed. Their relationships are complicated and very real to life. I love this series! I can’t wait for Cooper!!

So we are back with another Wild Brothers book and boy is this story wild!!!

Jackson Wild lives up to his name! He is one half of a photography studio, he can date whomever he wants and he is also in a friends with benefits relationship with his best friend Laney (aka Erica), he is free to do what he wants, when he wants and right now he is all set to go on a hiking week away with Laney.

Laney is all set for her birthday vacation with Jackson and is at her birthday dinner with Bryce, her boyfriend!! Who surprisingly knows and is okay with her "relationship" with Jackson. Until he does the one thing that shakes her foundations….he asks her to marry him!! Which might be simply perfect for any other girl, but not for Laney. So she asks for a week before she gives him her answer, to which Bryce agrees and she runs to Jackson as fast as she can, to try and get her head sorted.

When Laney lays the bombshell on Jackson, it rocks his world and he even pushes her towards Bryce, because he thinks he would not be able to be faithful to her. But when he comes to his senses, will it be too late.

My feelings on Jacksons book are mixed and this is why; I loved the falling in love with the best friend angle, but I didn't like she was dating at the same time that she was friends with benefits with Jackson, I honestly don’t know why I have such an issue with this but I do! By the end of the book though, it wasn’t such a big deal!

As with the other two books, the writing, characters and the plot in this book was amazing and my love for Mary-Lou just grows in bounds! What a remarkable women and I just love the ways that all of her sons take care of her.
