This is a veritable who's who of cartoonist talent from the mid-half of the last century. With names such as:
Hal Rasmusson (of 'Aggie Mack. fame), Russel Patterson (notable art deco illustrator, and creator of the 'Mamie' strip), Al Vermeer (Priscilla's Pop), Fanny Y. Cory (Grand old lady of the industry who lived to 95), Dick Turner (Carnival), Don Flowers (known for his fluid ink work, and creator of the 'Glamor Girls' panel), Burr Shafer (creator of J. Wesley Smith), Dorman H. Smith (The Gremlins), George Scarbo (The Tinymites, The Comic Zoo), Gluyas Williams (known for his clean black-and-white style), Lena Rue (one of several noted female cartoonists), Robert J. Day (Fun Fare; a Treasury of Reader's Digest Wit and Humor), among just a few of the names.

Great examples of some fine work. More of a show case of these cartoonist's talents than a true 'how-to' book, with snippets of good advice spotted throught. I still like it, and have learnt a lot. So...

Just be sure you buy it knowing what you are buying; but I would still buy it. ( )
