In my opinion this was a good book. I really enjoyed this book, the words in this book were descriptive and clear. There was also a pattern in the book that the author did in every page. The book was engaging and organized well. In each page the author made sure to have descriptive words and illustrations to go along with the words. The story flowed throughout the book and was paced well. The character was believable because it was about a little boy that had to clean his room before he could watch TV, I think this was a relatable book because almost every child was told they had to clean their room before they were able to do what they wanted and in this case before they could watch TV. The character was well developed. The book was written in third person point of view. There was some suspense in this book because as we were reading we didn’t know if he would finish in time before it was time for his next TV show. The illustrations enhanced the story because the pictures were also telling the story along with the words; you were able to see exactly what was happening. I wouldn’t say this book pushed readers to think about tough issues but I like how the main character was an African American boy, I liked how the author created a diverse character. ( )
